For example, the <a href="http://www.cherrymkt.org/">Cherry Marketing Institute</a>! This sounds crazy, but really their main purpose is to increase the use of cherries in everyday life. You can get all sorts of cherry recipes from the website!<br /><br />There is a <a href="http://www.cherryfestival.org/">National Cherry Festival</a> that looks quite intense... complete with Cherryopoly<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger/8000/3992/1600/769413/air%20dog.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger/8000/3992/320/60066/air%20dog.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a> Tournaments and Cherry Pie eating contests... From the looks of it, even animals can get involved in the festivities! There is a countdown until next years festival... only 220 days left. I can hardly stand the anticipation! I don't know about you, but someday I think I would like to be the National Cherry Queen! Just kidding, but seriously anyone up for a road trip? I realize that this was several weeks ago, but I truly feel like a major event of my life has come and gone. I loved every min. of it!<br />2) My new apartment! Wahoo! I live on my own now, and it's been really good! Now all of you out there that really know me are probably questioning my ability to live all by myself and not hate it... but I'm doing quite nicely and actually enjoying the time I spend by myself. So far, so good!<br />3) Spending time with my little brother (who's not so little anymore)! I love hanging out with him and laughing so hard I cry! It's SOOOO good to spend so much time with him! Yay for brothers!<br /><br />Three things that I'm insanely excited for in the coming weeks:<br />1) There is a very exciting girls night out happening this Thursday! Wahoo! It'll be a ton of fun to hang out with some of the most important girls in my life!<br />2) Christmas music! I love it... after Thanksgiving! I'm ready to break it out full force until the season is over now!<br />3) My family vacation during Christmas! It'll be a lot of fun, and I'm excited to do fun things with my brothers and parents... and get out of Sioux City for a while!<br /><br />Well... that is all for now! Last weekend the show was canceled. The show for this weekend is still up in the air. Just in case you didn't realize, it is in fact Thurs. afternoon already! The bands are supposed to play on Friday night! I always thought that my friends and I were good fans to have, but perhaps this is a sign... hopefully not!<br /><br />This just in: The show is still on!!! This excites me greatly!<br /><br />On a different note, I heard about a haunted house today that is 13 floors of fear... It costs 20ish bucks to get in, but if you make it to the 13th floor you get your money back. They have 4 different "chicken exits" on each floor so you can escape at any time. This intrigues me a lot, I really want to know what is on all of those floors! Apparently they have been working on it for 8 months. I think this is something I would like to do with my life, create haunted houses that are so scary that we have to give people a refund if they survive!<br /><br />That is all for now!
